New Parish Council Chairman elected

COUNCILLOR Mrs Joan Grime was elected chairman of Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council for the coming year at the council’s AGM.

A mother of three grown up children, Cllr Grime represents the Glazebury and Mee Brow ward and has been a member of the council since December 2014 when she won a by-election.

Formerly a further education tutor, she was deputy head of mathematics at Winstanley College.

Cllr Mrs Anne Roberts was elected deputy chairman.

The new chairman presented the outgoing chairman, Chris Vobe, with a medallion in recognition of his service to the Parish Council in 2015/16.
