Free swimming offer as pools re-open

FREE swimming will be on offer at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub this weekend – as a “thankyou” to customers for their patience while the pools were closed while improvement work was carried out.
Hub operators LiveWire are making the offer which will be available all day on Sunday, June 5 and between 1pm and 3.30pm on Saturday June 4.
The two pools at the centre re-opened earlier this month after being closed while much needed repairs were carried out to pools’ heating systems, plant room and pipes underneath the pools.
Customers will also be able to benefit from free craft activities that will be running from Woolston Library during half term and a swimming themed treasure hunt in the library.
Tina Redford, LiveWire’s area neighbourhood and wellbeing manager for east Warrington, said: “LiveWire recognise the value placed on the facility within the community and we are pleased we have been able to work with the council and make the necessary investment to update the plant facilities. Now it is time to get people back in the pool and
swimming for fitness and pleasure.”
