A night of music has been organised this Friday (April 29) in memory of Warrington musician Mike Carter who died suddenly last year aged just 19.

On a very impressive bill are Clint Boon, the Psyblings, Trinity, Toast, the God Complex, Sonya Hurst, Jonny Foreigner, Kye Jones and Remedy. There will also be a tribute to Warrington band Viola Beach, who had been due to perform at the gig.

The concert has been organised by Mike’s mother Samantha Heathcote. Mike was a very well loved lad and over 300 people attended his funeral.

Samantha said: “Mike passed away suddenly aged 19. He was a keen musician and passionate about music. He loved to help other people and was always there day and night for anyone that needed him.

“He had recently been diagnosed with ASD. In his memory, this gig will raise money for the Warrington branch of the national autistic society. The monies raised will help children and their families in the local area. This is what Mike would’ve wanted.”

The venue at Eagle Sports Club allows two acts to perform simultaneously in separate rooms so a full evening of great sounds will be on offer.

As well as all the live acts there will be a touching tribute played to Mike’s former friends Viola Beach who were due to play at the gig but were also tragically taken too soon.

Although ticket sales have been very successful there are still a small amount available costing £10.

They are available from skdl.it/1VxBzcq or by calling 07895911356 – doors open at 7pm with the first act going on stage at 7.15pm. with all proceeds being donated to the Warrington branch of the National Autistic Society.
