Vandals seen starting fire in park

FIRE crews were called out after vandals were seen starting a fire in a Warrington park.
The blaze was on parkland off Windscale Road, Fearnhead shortly before 8.30pm last night and firefighters from Birchwood went to the scene after receiving a report of a group of individuals setting fire to wood.
They used water backpacks to extinguish the blaze.
A Fire Service spokesperson said: “Arson is dangerous and can cost lives. If you see anyone deliberately setting fires please call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 11 or Cheshire Police on 101.”
