WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones has lent her support to IMPACT – Warrington’s Youth Council, as they look to get young people across the town further engaged with politics.
Ms Jones welcomed Rose Warburton, Member of Youth Parliament and representatives of the Youth Council to her office for an in-depth discussion about their achievements and goals for the future.
Running campaigns and promoting the views of young people, IMPACT is available to join for any young person aged 13-19 who lives or attends school in the Warrington area. They meet at Warrington Youth Café every Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
The MP said: “I was very pleased to meet with Rose and members of the Youth Council to hear about the excellent campaigns they have run on issues such as Mental Health, Voter Registration and the Living Wage.
“The group spoke impressively about the concerns of young people across Warrington and I hope that they continue to expand their membership and further engage with the Council on these issues.”
