Tennis club to serve up special events

STOCKTON Heath Tennis Club is organising a number of events to attract new members and promote the sport generally this summer.
On May 7, they plan to set up a mini tennis court in Alexandra Park and organise games for youngsters between 2-4pm . The park café will be open for tea and cakes and club members will be on hand to offer help and advice.
The club’s annual open day will be on May 14 when the courts in Delphfields Road, Appleton will be open to visitors who can join in games with members and sample the club’s facilities, including tea and cakes in the clubhouse.
On Saturday, July 2 the club is joining in with the Stockton Heath Festival and plan to borrow a pop-up tennis court from Cheshire Lawn Tennis Association which will be set up on the festival field to promote the club and tennis in general.
Games will be organised and there will be a stand to give out details of the club.
