THE Rotary Club of Lymm is seeking nominations for its annual Cyril Bell Award.

The award is made in recognition of outstanding service by an individual to the communities of Lymm and Thelwall either on her/his own or as a member of a deserving group over and above that expected of a person’s vocation.

Previous winners are ineligible but age or infirmity is no bar.

Nomination forms are available from John Beard, Tel. number (01925) 758398, and must be returned by June 1.

The winner receives a cheque for £500, made out to their chosen charity, a personal, framed certificate and the “Cyril Bell Memorial Award” trophy which they retain for one year and then return to Lymm Rotary Club. The award will be presented to the winner at the Club’s Ladies’ Evening at Statham Lodge on Wednesday, June 15.

This will be the 30th year of this prestigious award and is made in memory of Cyril Bell, a well-known Lymm business man who died during his Presidency of the Rotary Club.
