Murder investigation launched after man dies in hospital

A MURDER investigation has been launched following the death of a man found lying injured by the roadside near Warrington.
The 27-year-old man was rushed to Whiston Hospital where he died later.
He was found lying by the roadside in Warrington Road, Astmoor.
Three men, aged 52, 38 and 36 have been arrested and are in custody helping police with their enquiries.
The man was found injured on Tuesday evening and died the same night. It is understood the three men are from the local area, although police have not confirmed that they are being interviewed in connection with the death.
