Three men, one woman, injured in street fracas

DETECTIVES at Warrington today issued an appeal for witnesses following a disturbance involving four people in the town last night.
Police were called to Wilderspool Causeway at about 9.10pm after being alerted by the North West Ambulance Service.
They found three men and a woman had been involved in the incident.
The men, aged 36, 35 and 30, had sustained wounds and the 23-year-old woman had suffered minor injuries.
None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.
Officers from Warrington CID are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and a number of areas are currently cordoned off in the local area. Officers are not currently looking to trace anyone else in relation to the incident.
Detective Sergeant Gordon Wilson said: “I would like to reassure the public that we are not looking to trace anyone else in relation to the assault itself – however we are keen to speak to anyone who believes that they may have witnessed the disturbance.
“Wilderspool Causeway is a busy road and we are keen to speak to anyone who was passing through the area around Brian Bevin Island last night and believes that they may have seen this incident taking place.”
