No change at the top

THERE was no change at the top of the Evo-Stik Division One North as both Warrington Town and Northwich Victoria saw their respective games called off due to waterlogged pitches.

Warrington’s away game at Droylsden, where Northwich had won 2-8 the previous weekend, was called off just an hour before kick off, while the Vics suffered a similar fate for their scheduled game at Mossley.

So Warrington retain their eight point lead over second placed Northwich, who have three games in hand in what has become a two horse race for the title.

Warrington are next in action when they travel to Chester on Tuesday night in the Quarter Finals of the Cheshire Cup, kick off 7.45pm.

Next Saturday they return to league action when they host Kendal Town, kick off 3pm.
