A CHRISTMAS card posted in Frodsham about 100 years ago has “come back home” to the address it was sent from.
Shortly before Christmas, Rosanne Greaves, of Brackendene, Manley Road, Frodsham received the card in a package addressed to “the occupier”.
It was clearly old and had been sent from a woman in Exeter who had found it in a second-hand book she had bought.
The original senders were a Mr and Mrs E Rhodes – and Mrs Greaves knew that an Edward and Jane Rhodes had lived at Brackendene between 1911 and 1923.
Mrs Greaves has lived at the house for almost 30 years and knows that the house was built in 1873.
“After possibly almost a hundred years it is fascinating that this card has found its way back to Brackendene” she said.
