TWO fire engines and the rescue boat from Warrington and one fire engine from Stockton Heath were used to rescue a motorist stranded in flood waters at Lymm Golf Club.

The man was rescued from a car stuck in flood water at the golf club based on Whitbarrow Road yesterday morning.

Crews used a raft to rescue the man and handed him into the care of paramedics to be checked over. Firefighters were at the scene for 30 minutes.

Large areas of  land in and around the Lymm area were affected by flood waters as can be seen from the aerial video produced by Lymm based Flying Fox media.
