Bike stolen as thieves target sheds and garages

POLICE have issued a picture of bike stolen in a 3am burglary at Warrington.
The Red Scott Genius Mountain bike was taken from a shed at a house in Ludlow Close, Padgate, on December 19
Anyone able to help police with their investigation is asked to call 101, quoting incident 235 of 21-12-2015.
Police have also issued a list of recent shed and garage raids, together with an appeal to the public to make outbuildings secure – particularly when they contain expensive items.
Sheds have been broken into in Lilford Avenue, Ludlow Close, Birch Avenue, Ulverston Avenue, Chaucer Place, Capesthorne Road, Birchdale Road, Lowfield Gardens, Sandy Lane, London Road and Wilderspool Causeway
Garages have been raided in Lovely Lane, Lowfield Gardens, Windermere Avenue and Beamish Close.
A spokesman said: “Please ensure your sheds and garages are secure. Don’t keep Christmas presents in them, fit an alarm, and a heavy duty lock. They will deter thieves.
“Items such as tools, bikes, electrical equipment and alcohol have all been stolen”
