Man dies after being struck by train

RAIL services were disrupted early this morning after a body was found on the line near Kenyon Lane, Lowton.
British Transport Police were informed that a man had been struck by a train.
Ambulance crews went to the scene but the person was found to be dead.
A BTP spokesperson said: “Officers are now working to establish the person’s identity and the circumstances around the death which is currently being treated as unexplained.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
