Raiders steal valuable bicycle from shed

POLICE have issued an appeal to householders at Warrington to make sure garden sheds are secure, following the theft of valuable equipment from a shed at Appleton.
The shed, at a house in Birchdale Road, was broken into during the night and a black and orange Huron Whistle bicycle with white trim around its wheels was stolen.
A green Qualcast electric lawn mower was also stolen.
Anyone with information about the raid is asked to call police on 101.
A police spokesman said: “You should check your shed is in good condition and would stand up to a security test.
If not, take steps to improve it – and don’t leave valuable items such as power tools, golf clubs and bicycles inside.”
There was good news, however, following a burglary in Belvoir Road, Stockton Heath.
Two bicycles stolen in the raid have been recovered and returned to the owners.
