Chance to have your say on policing in Warrington

WARRINGTON residents are being urged to have their say on policing by taking part in the next Cheshire Police and Crime Panel this Friday, November 13.

Restorative justice, home office consultations, diversity, and HMIC Review of Cheshire Constabulary are on the agenda for discussion.

The agenda has been published online and can be accessed on the PCP website http://www.cheshirepcp.org.uk/.

The panel’s next meeting is on Friday, November 13 which will be taking place at 10am at Wyvern House, Winsford. Residents are invited to attend or watch the meeting on the webcast.

Restorative justice is a system of criminal justice which focuses on the rehabilitation of offenders through reconciliation with victims and the community.

The panel maintains a regular check on the performance of the Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner John Dwyer.

The Commissioner consults with the panel on plans and budget for policing, as well as the level of council tax and the appointment of a Chief Constable.
