RYFIELDS Village has announced new care and support and catering partners.

The well-established retirement living village in Orford, which first opened its doors in 2003, is home to over 300 residents all aged over 55.

New care and support provider Warrington Community Living (WCL) is a charity which was formed 23 years ago to offer help and support to older people to enable them to lead their lives in a purposeful, healthy and enjoyable way, whilst remaining as independent as possible for longer.

Michael Sheppard, Chief Executive of WCL, said: “We see Ryfields as a fantastic opportunity and look forward to getting to know the residents, operational teams and the local community.

“It is hugely important to both me and my team that we work in partnership to ensure the residents of Ryfields receive the very best care and support they can to stay independent and well for longer.”

GWF Catering, who already operate across five other Your Housing Group developments, will be responsible for the restaurant and coffee bar, offering healthy meals and snacks at competitive prices.

Joe Fay, Owner and Managing Director of GWF Catering, said: “To be involved with Ryfields at this time is very exciting, I am looking forward to putting my own stamp on things and showing the residents and the local community what they can expect to receive on a daily basis.

“I am hugely proud of the food we create and seeing the smiles on the customers’ faces, Ryfields residents have welcomed me with open arms.”
