Building evacuated after smoke alert

A BUILDING was evacuated at Warrington after smoke was discovered on the second floor.
Fire crews went to the scene in Europa Boulevard, Westbrook and investigated, using a thermal imaging camera, but could no evidence of fire.
The incident was then handed over to electrical engineers.
In another incident, firefighters from Birchwood were called to New Cut Lane, Woolston, where a fire had been discovered in a skip.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters believed the fire was started diliberately and police were informed.
