The birthday celebrations were kindly Sponsored by PQ Silicas UK Limited, who this year have celebrated their 200th birthday and over the last two centuries have been an integral part of the fabric of the town.

Hedley Long, representative for PQ Silicas UK Limited, presented the museum with a one of two commemorative glass sculptures that have been commissioned in celebration of their 200th Birthday. The second glass sculpture will reside with PQ silicas UK Limited.
