Police hunt for two men following serious crash at Croft

POLICE are bidding to trace two men believed to be on the run following a two car collision at Croft, Warrington.

The incident occurred at approximately 5.30pm on Wednesday (September 9) on Winwick Lane, Croft, Warrington, and involved a silver Audi and a silver Subaru Forrester.

Officers attended the scene and on arrival found that four occupants from the Subaru had fled the scene.

Following searches in the local area officers were able to locate two 20-year-old-men, and are now appealing to trace the other two men who are believed to be involved in the incident.

The two men who were located were both arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and possession of a controlled drug, they have both been released on police bail pending further enquiries and are due to report to custody on  October 15.

The driver and two passengers from the Audi suffered minor injuries, a third passenger suffered serious hip injuries.

Detective Sergeant Stuart Clay from Warrington Local Policing Unit said: “I urge anyone with any information in relation to this collision to contact Cheshire Police.

“This was an extremely serious incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who was driving in the Croft area around the time of the incident and believes that they may have seen anything suspicious.”
