A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital today after being injured in a road crash at Warrington.
The crash, involving a car and a lorry, occurred in Manchester Road, Rixton-with-Glazebrook and fire and rescue crews from Cheshire and Greater Manchester were sent to the scene.
Firefighters released the woman from the badly damaged car abo0ut a mile from the junction with Warburton Bridge Road and she was then flown to hospital by air ambulance.
No details of her injuries have been released.
