Fire started on school playing field

FIREFIGHTERS were called to extinguish a fire involving pallets on the school field at Bridgewater High School (lower school) on Hall Drive at Appleton, Warrington last night.

Police also attended the incident involving a fire which was started deliberately.

Anyone with any information is urged to call police on 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Later, firefighters went to Tarporley Road, Stretton, when a heavy lorry caught fire. They exti8nguished the blaze using a hose reel jet.
