LiveWire Mile returning to Warrington

THE LiveWire Mile is returning to Warrington for the third year running – as part of the inaugural Warrington Festival.
In partnership with the English Half Marathon, LiveWire is hosting its very own “mile challenge” to encourage families and individuals to take part and get active, while raising money for a charity of their choice.
The event takes place on Sunday, September 20.
Participants can now sign up for the challenge where they can either run, walk, skip, hop or jump around the track and will receive a t-shirt and medal for taking part.
The race will begin at 1pm, shortly after the English Half Marathon and 10K run. Entrants will have a fun warm up session that gets the blood pumping before taking on the one mile circuit.
This year’s LiveWire Mile will take place in Warrington town centre and for the first time will be part of the month long Warrington Festival which celebrates sport, culture and entertainment.
Warrington Festival kicks off on September 5 and will see 25 events running across 25 days, including an appearance by Pixie Lott, who will headline Bank Park on September 19, Jimmy Carr, who will perform at Parr Hall on September 26 as part of the festival and a wide range of other events to suit everyone’s tastes.
For further information or to register for the LiveWire Mile at £5.00 per person, pop into your local LiveWire leisure or library facility or visit: www.warringtonfestival.org
Registration closes on Sunday September 13.
Warrington Festival is a new, exciting and vibrant month long programme of events across the town celebrating sports, culture and entertainment.
