VIDEO: ST Rocco’s Hospice’s 10th anniversary Starlight Walk is set to raise more than £128,000 following sponsorship pledges collected by more than 1,300 women who took part in the annual event.
The weather stayed fine as Warrington’s Mayor and Mayoress Cllr Geoff and Mrs Jean Settle waived off the walkers at midnight from Orford Park Jubilee Hub on a 6.5 or 13 mile walk through town.
The walkers were led by a group of VIP women who have taken part each year for the past 10 years at the event which has now raised well in excess of £1 million for the charity.
