WARRINGTON Wolves legend Lee Briers is hosting a race day at Haydock Park in aid of the Steve Prescott Foundation.

Following on from his epic walk from Lands End to John O’Groats last year, Briers has agreed to tackle the Spectrum Kilimanjaro Challenge in October.

He joins a 32-strong team with the challenge to complete the climb in just five days instead of the usual nine.

Sponsored by Maxilead Metals, the fundraising event takes place on Thursday August 6, starting at 12 noon.

It includes a bucks fizz reception in the Park Suite, a gourmet four course meal, pre-race tipster, jockey interviews and a balcony view of the racecourse.

Stars of rugby league will be attending and MC for the day is Sky Sports presenter Angela Powers.

Martin Blondel, General Manager of the SPF said: “On behalf of The Steve Prescott Foundation we would like to thank Peter and his team from Maxilead Metals for their continued support of the SPF and Ambassador Lee Briers Spectrum Kilimanjaro Challenge.

“We have a great relationship with Haydock Park racecourse and they have put together a phenomenal package that will be top class hospitality. It is going to be a tremendous day, one we are really excited about.”

Please give your support to this fantastic day out in aid of a unique challenge for the Steve Prescott Foundation.

Tickets are £1000 for a table of 10. Individual tickets are £100 each. Numbers are strictly limited to a maximum of 80 guests.
