Jennifer will be crowned Thelwall Rose Queen

JENNIFER Tipping will be crowned queen when the 51st Thelwall Rose Queen festival takes place on June 20.
The 13-year-old Lymm High School pupil lives in Grappenhall and was selected for the role earlier this year.
Her attendants will be Emily foot, Teegan Hindle, Elizabeth Lewis, Amelia McGerty, Ellie Schofield and Jadine Tomkins. Crown bearer will be Juan Mottram.
Theme for the floats in the festival procession is “book characters”.
The procession will leave the Village Hall car park at 1.30pm and parade through the village, returning to Chaigeley School field where there will be stalls, fairground attractions, arena events and the Rose Queen crowning ceremony.
