Warrington Wolves squad for trip to Widnes

1

WARRINGTON Wolves travel the short distance to the Select Security Stadium on Thursday night to take on local rivals Widnes Vikings, with head of coaching Tony Smith making just one change to his 19 man squad from last week’s defeat at home to Huddersfield.
Prop Anthony England (pictured) is in, with utility back Gary Wheeler out.
The two sides met at The Halliwell Jones Stadium in pre-season; a game which the Wolves came away 16-0 winners.
It was the Vikings, however, who secured victory last time the two sides met at the Widnes ground, a result the Wolves will be keen to reverse.
Fixtures between the two sides always serve up a true derby-day atmosphere with a few familiar faces on the Widnes performances staff; former Wolves Brett Hodgson and Jon Clarke.
