WARRINGTON Borough Council has appointed leading home care specialist, Community Life Choices (CLC), to provide support services to disabled children and young people.
The framework involves the provision of person-centred care and support for those with highly complex medical conditions, learning disabilities or challenging behaviour in the borough, to help them and their families lead ordinary lives.
The appointment follows a flurry of contract wins at CLC as the company continues to implement a dynamic growth strategy, which has seen turnover increase by more than 60 per cent over the past 12 months.
The company has also expanded geographically, building on its success in Lancashire and the North West to deliver care services for local authorities as far afield as Birmingham and Aberdeenshire.
Alan Frew, managing director of Community Life Choices, said: “CLC has a proven track record of providing reliable, accountable and professional care services for local authorities across the country and our appointment by Warrington Borough Council builds on that reputation.
“The contract follows a rigorous application and assessment process, including various presentations and site visits, in line with the local authorities due diligence procedures and we are delighted to have been successful and look forward to supporting young people and their families in Warrington with immediate effect.”
As well as providing personal care and support, CLC’s experienced team will also give families short breaks away from their caring roles, with this respite care helping to boost self-esteem and quality of life.
