EMERGENCY road closures will come into force at Howley, Warrington, tomorrow (Sunday) in connection with flood defence works on the River Mersey.
Parts of Vernon Street and Wharf Street will be closed to vehicular traffic when signs go up on site. It is expected the prohibition of driving will last for only one day.
The reason is for emergency work on essential carriageway works in connection with the flood defence work.
About 350 metres of Wharf Street and 30 metres of Vernon Street will be closed.
