New free wi-fi services launched

A NEW, free wi-fi service has been launched for visitors to Frodsham Library.
The service is being provided by Cheshire West and Chester Council and will be rolled-out across libraries across the borough over the next few months.
Library users can sign up for a free account and start using ‘Cheshire_West_Online’ immediately on their Wi-Fi enabled device and there is no time limit on access, which means customers can study or work in the building for as long as they need to.
The free Wi-Fi service enhances and complements the existing provision of ICT facilities in local libraries, which currently offers customers one hour free internet access per day on the Peoples Network PCs and a wide selection of e-books.
The council’s lead member for localities, Cllr Lynn Riley (pictured), said: “In today’s modern age bringing free wi-fi to our libraries adds another essential service for our customers – unlocking even more information for study or leisure purposes.”lynneriley
