MOTORISTS were warned today to expect delays on the A49, Winwick Road, Warrington following the start of emergency work.
The work is being carried out by National Grid outside the North West Face indoor climbing centre.
The A49 has been reduced o one lane in an outbound direction.
Traffic is being warned in advance of the works to use the inside lane to reach the supermarket next to the climbing centre, with the outside lane being used for through traffic.
It is expected the work will be completed by the weekend.
