Improvements planned at four schools

PLANS to carry out extensions or improvements at four Warrington schools are to come before borough planning bosses next week – all with officers’ recommendations for approval.
The biggest scheme is at Chapelford Village :Primary, in Santa Rosa Boulevard, Great Sankey.
Here the proposal is for a new reception classroom extension, with associated modifications to the external reception playground and external pedestrian access,
This will form the first phase of a scheme to increase the size of the school to allow a three-form intake of children.
At Winwick CE Primary School, Myddleton Lane, plans have been submitted for internal alterations to the existing main entrance to provide secure lobby area, including the formation of a flat roofed canopy.
Grappenhall Heys Primary School, in Stansfield Drive, Grappenhall is seeking permission for replacement glazing to an existing canopy porch and replacement fencing.
A new canopy is proposed at Oughtrington Primary School, in Howard Avenue, Lymm.
All four schemes will be considered by the planning committee on Wednesday.
