Tories win Town Council by election

THE Conservatives had a comfortable victory in the by election for a vacant South Ward seat on Frodsham Town Council.
Tory candidate Caroline Ashton polled 229 votes, while Independent Ryan Edghill – the man behind the successful Frodsham Summer Festival – came second with 116 and Independent Tom Reynolds, a former member of the council, polled just 38 votes.
There was a 22.62 per cent turn out.
