FIVE Warrington lads are on their way to stardom after a jam-packed year of success.
Conquer Rio, who got together during high school, formed three years ago and have already met with considerable success.
The lads, Tom Jordan, Lewis Melia, Jake Bate, Dan Cobley and Ben Roberts, the band formed in December 2010 after meeting at Birchwood High School. They aim to get up alongside the biggest acts in the industry.
The year saw the band make a second appearance at the Etihad Stadium for the Super League Magic Weekend.
After this, they played a set at Old Trafford for the Super League Grand Final gigging to an audience of more than 66,000 rugby fans.
After appearances on local radio, they appeared at Manchester Club Academy and Speke Hall where they shared the stage with top name acts including the likes of Status Quo and Marcus Collins.
They recently released their debut EP, “Why We Fall” which is available on iTunes and they were also happy to debut their official music video for their song “Float”.
The lads are now working on the promotion and marketing of the band, with Lewis Melia, bass player, working behind the scenes. They are currently recording demos in preparation for a new single at the beginning of 2014.
Lewis said; “We’re really happy that the band is moving forward and I’m so proud of what we have achieved so far. We’ve got some great plans lined up for 2014 and we can’t wait to kick start the New Year”.
