54 apartments planned

PLANS for 54 one and two bedroom sheltered apartments are being recommended for approval by Warrington planners.
The development is on the site of the former Penketh Court, off Farnworth Road, Penketh, which was demolished some time ago.
Two neighbours have lodged objections on the grounds the three-storey development will be “overbearing.”
But planning officers say the scheme is “sympathetic” to surrounding properties and can be satisfactorily integrated into the street scene without causing harm to the character of the area.
