Council launches 'Report It' hub

A NEW “Report It” hub is now available on Warrington Borough Council’s website for residents to report issues, such as missed bins, or request services, such as pest control.
The new hub and mobile app its part of the council’s Digital vision for Warrington, and includes ways to contact and access council services.
In addition to online forms you can also search and comment on planning applications, book birth and death registration appointments, pay your council tax and much more.
The existing mobile app which gives residents direct access to the ‘report it’ hub has now been extended to all mobile phones and tablets. This enables users to download it when they are viewing the council website – giving them on-the-go access to council services.
All you have to do is go to the council website via your mobile or tablet device and you’ll be prompted to download our app and save it to your screen.
Cllr Hitesh Patel, executive board member for personnel and communications, said: “This is a further step to achieving the council’s vision of a Digital Warrington. The new ‘report it’ hub forms the basis of our personalised online portal, My Warrington, which will be introduced in various stages throughout 2014.
“My Warrington will allow residents to log on and track the progress of any reports they’ve made to the council, and it will also provide useful maps for residents to choose the location of the problem, and see if the problem has already been reported.
“The portal will ensure that any reports are recorded in the central system but are submitted directly to the relevant team, aiming to streamline the process and resolve problems faster, therefore providing improved service to our residents.
“Utilising digital services such as the mobile app also means residents can submit and conduct their business with the council whenever and wherever is convenient to them.”
