TWO fire engines were called to a house in Thelwall New Road, Thelwall, Warrington after smoke was seen pouring from windows.
A fire involving electrical appliances was found in a rear kitchen area and fire crews, wearing breathing apparatus, entered and tackled the outbreak with a hose reel jet.
After the blaze was extinguished a large industrial fan was used to clear smoke from the premises.
Crews then carried out checks to ensure the fire had not spread to adjacent properties.
Smoke alarms were fitted in the property and did operate. No-one was hurt.
