Free dog micro chipping event

WARRINGTON Borough Council and the Dogs Trust have joined forces and are holding a free microchipping event at 10am-3pm on Thursday at Whitecross Community Centre, Lexden Street.
The offer is open to all dog owners aged 18 or above but is subject to availability and resources of the Dogs Trust charity and the council’s dog warden service. No appointment is needed.
Cllr David Keane, the borough council’s lead member executive board member for environment and public protection, said: “It is great to be working in partnership with the Dogs Trust.
“Dog owners should be aware that the law is changing and from April 6 2016 you must have your dog chipped – so why not do it this month for free?”
