WARRINGTON Museum and Art Gallery has dedicated one of its recently refurbished galleries to exhibiting and selling contemporary British craft… for a limited time only and just in time for Christmas.
The “pop up” craft shop, located in the WREN gallery, will stock work by nationally renowned craft makers from around the country, as well as showcasing local talent.
The Museum has teamed up with local jeweller Heather Fox to create this new venture, as part of the third Warrington Contemporary Art Festival.
Heather started making jewellery at an evening class before returning to University in 2004 to study for her degree in Applied Arts, Jewellery & Metalwork.
She set up business in 2007 as part of her Professional Practice studies and has since exhibited at various shows and galleries across the country.
The pop up craft shop will offer visitors the opportunity to purchase unique and stunning craftwork, including jewellery, ceramics, prints and textiles.
Some of the new stockists for next year include punctured artefacts from Dionne Marshall, glasswork by Abby Noble, enchanting cyanotypes from The Way to Blue, carved couture by Thrashion, and laser cut jewellery from Finest Imaginary.
