Firefighters' road safety message

FIREFIGHTERS will be out and about in Warrington next week supporting Brake Road Safety Week.
The national campaign runs from Monday for a week and this year’s theme is Distraction Leads to Destruction, focusing on the need to tune in to road safety.
Area manager for Warrington, Sean Henshaw, said: “Firefighters will be out and about in the area to help raise awareness of road safety issues and encourage everyone to be aware of road safety, not only from behind the wheel but also when walking, cycling, skating or running, to keep everyone safe.
“We are committed to reducing the number of people killed and seriously injured on our roads and so we are delighted to support Brake with this important campaign.”
Firefighters will be giving out driving safety advice throughout the week at key locations in Warrington.
