Underground car storage plan

PLANS have been drawn up for an underground car storage and display facility at a former wartime airfield near Warrington.
HOW Planning and Jeffrey Bell Architects are to hold a public exhibition at Appleton Parish Hall, Dudlow Green Road, Appleton on Tuesday, November 19 to explain the proposals.
The proposals for the former Stretton Airfield site involve a subterranean car storage facility and display garage, with a “modest” office development above ground.
They have been developed on behalf of a private individual and would be solely for private use.
The development would be located centrally within the airfield site, adjacent to the M56 motorway and there would be a single access via Crowley Lane.
Planners say the scheme would include improved ecology habitats, including new species rich grassland, broadleaved woodland and wildlife ponds and perimeter screening around the site.
The exhibition opens at 7.30pm
