Housing HQ changes approved

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have approved a series of minor amendment to the new headquarters building for Golden Gates Housing, on the Bank Park depot site off Kendrick Street.
The part two, part three storey office building is now under construction after being granted planning consent last year.
Amendments to the originally approved plans involve the site layout for a vehicle barrier at the site entrance, landscaping, widening the highway at the site entrance to accommodate HGV access, providing a vehicle access into Bank Park for rangers and emergency vehicles and a slight increase in the height of the building.
Councillors were told the amendments would have a minor impact on the wider park area but would facilitate future access to it. The modifications would not have any greater impact on the nearby Town Hall or the character of the Town Hall conservation area.
