Meet Muffin and Biscuit

0

AN opportunity to get up close and personal with various furred and feathered creatures will come at an open day at the Wild Wings Birds of Prey Centre at Glazebury, near Warrington.
The birds of prey who are normally at the centre will be joined by Meerkats, a Skunk, Hedgehogs, Tenrecs, Eclectus Parrot, Tortoises, a Chameleon, a Bearded Dragon and some Cornsnakes.
Visitors will be able to handle most of the animals and have their pictures taken with them.
Among the birds at the centre are two rescued baby owls – Muffin and Biscuit – and Harriet, a rescued peregrine falcon.
The open day is on Saturday, October 19, from 10am to 4pm but the centre is already running a raffle, to be drawn on Wednesday, October 16, with prizes such as a half-hour encounter with a Meerkat or bird of prey or a framed photograph with a Meerkat or bird of prey.
More information is available from 07957 416 883.
