Road closures warning

PARTS of the A579 Winwick Lane, Warrington are to be closed to traffic to enable the borough council to carry out carriageway maintenance work and road marking renewal.
The closures will come into force on October 21 and are expected to last for one week.
They will affect Winwick Lane from its junction with the M6 motorway at Junction 22 to its junction with the A572 Newton Road.
The closure will also effect Sandy Brow Lane from its junction with the A579 for a distance of 200 metres in a south easterly direction.
It is anticipated the closures will only be in operation between 8pm and 5pm and when signs are in place on site.
Alternative routes will be via A572 Newton Road, A572 Southworth Road, A49 Mill Lane, A49 Winwick Road, A49 Newton Road, A49 Winwick Link Road and vice versa.
