Town face repeat F.A Cup away day

WARRINGTON Town will face a tricky away day to Colwyn Bay in the FA Cup

for the second consecutive season, if they can over come Ossett Town in

the 2nd qualifying round replay at the HG Recruitment Stadium tomorrow,

(Tuesday), kick off 7.45pm.
But they will have to do it without leading goal scorer Ben Wharton who fractured his collar bone in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Ossett and now faces a 4-6 week lay off.
Wharton (pictured top) suffered the injury while challenging the keeper for a high ball, which he won allowing Jon Newby to volley home the all important equaliser.
Despite suffering the injury in the 78th minute he bravely battled on until the final whistle.
Last season Town were drawn away at Colwyn Bay in the second qualifying round going down 3-2 after fighting back from being 3-0 down.
Meanwhile Warrington have been awarded the Evo-Stik Division One North Team of the Month for September, following a 10 game unbeaten run and will be presented with their award prior to kick of tomorrow.
