WARRINGTON’S Rugby League World Cup 2013 volunteer team will be supplied with kits from Altrincham-based Chadwick Textiles for the tournament.
So far there are 59 people signed up to help direct people to the stadium and organising community activites on game days.
Jan Souness, chair of the local RLWC2013 consortium, said: “We are extremely pleased to have Chadwicks on board to supply the kits for our local volunteers. With less than a month to go until the first match in Warrington, plans for match days have been put in place and we can’t wait to see the town centre come to life.
“The RLWC will leave a lasting legacy in Warrington and these volunteers will be contributing to that and they are an essential part in making the tournament here a success.”
This news comes after it was announced Warrington-based retailed GetTheLabel.com has become a key sponsor of the RLWC2013 and will have full status as a tournament partner.
The Rugby League World Cup 2013 kicks off in Warrington when Samoa take on current champions New Zealand at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday October 27.
