NEW pupils at Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School were officially welcomed to the school at an Inauguration Service at St Elphin’s Parish Church.
More than 300 family and friends and 80 of the new pupils were present at the service.
The address was given by The Rev Paul Wilson, Rector of Warrington who spoke about a “New Start”.
Head boy Sam Osborne and head girl Clarise Lawrence inspired all present with their speeches about the school and gave the Year 7 pupils some very important advice and guidance.
The new pupils were formally “handed over” by their primary school head teachers who spoke warmly about each individual.
A Boteler spokesperson said: “The service was beautiful and the physical elements complemented the prayers and readings.
“The school mission statement – ‘Our school cares’- was clearly communicated throughout the service.”
