Food fayre drew the crowds

A FOOD Fayre organised by the Friends of Grappenhall Heys Walled Garden attracted hundreds of people.
The event, at Grappenhall Community Centre, in Bellhouse Lane, involved more than 20 stalls, inside the centre and on the car park.
There was a variety of foods on sale, including Italian Sauces, Hand Made Fudge, Specialist Butchers, Scotch Eggs/Potted Meats/Sauces, Pies, Cupcakes, Loaf Cakes, Brownie Infusions, Middle Eastern Savouries/Meats, Food Hampers and Handmade Chocolates.
One stall offered produce from the historic walled garden itself, and attracted plenty of attention
Hot food and drinks were available and the bar at the community centre was also open.
Janet Richards, a trustee of the Walled Garden charity said: “We are hoping this Food Fayre will be the first of many.”
