FIRE crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath were called out earlier today to reports of a wooden shed well alight.
When they arrived at the blaze, in Wilmslow Crescent, Thelwall, they found the fire had spread to the rear of a bungalow.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
A ventilation unit was used to disperse the smoke and crews spent time damping down the are and checking for hot spots.
Gas and electricity supplies were isolated.
The blaze was found to have been caused by an electrical fault on a tumble dryer.
In a separate incident, two fire engines from Warrington went to Shaws Avenue, Orford where a detached garage was found to be ablaze.
They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
In another blaze at Orford, fire crews extinguished burning rubbish on Hallfields Road.
