Businesswoman nominated for award

WARRINGTON-based businesswoman Ruth Thomas of Room31 has been named as a finalist in the Business Woman of the Year category in the 2013 Enterprise Vision Awards.
The EVA’s, now in their third year, are the only business awards in the north west exclusive to women.
Room31 started on Bury market in 2010 selling branded ladies fashion at discounted prices and is now an online fashion and sportswear retailer and wholesaler online, operating from a warehouse in Culcheth, Warrington, the company employs nine members of staff.
Ruth will now go before the panel of judges made up of some of the region’s leading business professionals to represent their businesses in a rigorous process that will see the microscope firmly placed on their company in a bid to scoop the title of winner.

The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony held at the Hilton Blackpool hotel on Friday 4th October 2013 and will be hosted by 2012 double EVA’s winner, Isla Wilson of Ruby Star Associates.
